The percussionist and composer Amoy Ribas
born in Brazil and lived in many places, from north to south of the coutry. Always attentive to the music, he has print in his work the various influences he faced. The mixture of different techniques and styles is the main feature of the musician, who extracts all the sonorous possibilities of the instruments.
His percussion arouse interest of big names in music such as Richard Galliano, Hermeto Pascoal, Rolf Kühn, Omar Sosa, Guinga, Joo Kraus, Jacques Morellenbaum, Hamilton de Holanda, Jeff Coffin, Toninho Horta, Raul de Souza, Duofel, Joyce and many others, with which the percussionist did concerts in Brazil and abroad.
Amoy Ribas transcends the concept of percussion as a simple accompaniment, searching for new percussive sounds in the universe, which makes his music vibrant and affirmative, bringing it with equal relevance to other instruments.
Presenting a new repertoire that focuses on his new work, „Pandeiros, Amoy Ribas takes advantage of this opportunity to present the different Brazilian rhythms that Brazilian tambourines can resonate together with singer Kiara Genovese.
