With the exotic line-up of tuba, synth, vocals, guitar, and drums, and a rather nonchalant attitude towards genre boundaries, this forward leaning band play fearless music that is perfect for both unrestrained dancing and contemplation. Described as everything from “experimental and dynamic bonkers-rock”, “jazzy and artistic math rock with tuba”, to “psychedelic pop” and “surrealistic”, Madmax is a live-experience a little out of the ordinary.

The band was formed in 2022 and has since played concerts around Norway. In the summer of 2024, they had their international debut during a work stay at La Maison Matrice in Switzerland,  where they wrote much of the music on their first album: “We’re bringing dubstep back!”. The album was recorded in Studio Paradiso with Martin Tonne (Pom Poko) as producer, and is released on Jazzland Recordings.
