gnomik is a Berlin-based experimental rock/jazz trio bent on creating obscure psychedelic soundscapes with the drive and energy of krautrock and post-punk.
The band is composed of guitarist Fausto Cassarà, pianist Alper Elmacı, and drummer Faolán Collins. Both Cassarà and Elmacı are constantly pushing the envelope with their respective instruments through the use of an array of effects and extended techniques while Faolán’s driving beat and use of percussion ground the music in circular minimalism and the avant-garde jazz of the 1960s.
